Join us for discussions about Doctor Who!
This group veers into Wibbly-Wobbly-Timey-Wimey stuff as we discuss this 60+ year old fantastic show!
This group regenerated from our prior one of 5+ years. Meetings then were exclusively on Zoom - and online events will remain so, Pacific Time, mostly Monday evenings - but we added more in-person themed meetups in the Los Angeles/OC area such as at the Disneyland Resort, local Cons. We’ll talk about episodes/stories you'll view prior to the event, general discussion topics such as characters, plots, themes explored in Doctor Who. Or whatever you choose! This will be your group and is open to suggestions (we’ve a list from all members in the past 5 years with room for more). And with the show’s recent showing on Disney+, this group would like to be accessible to brand-new viewers too. Naturally, we mesh and crossover well with our sci-fi, gaming, cosplay, comics/novel, Disney peers.
All humans and extraterrestrials/surviving Time Lords may apply! But this is also a safe space (though we had to convince Cmdr. Strax that the word "Club" had multiple meanings). No harassing anyone nor repeat no-shows without canceling lest you get banished into the Void (not joking). Family-friendly though attendees under age 18 must have a guardian with them.

The first DW novel (and maybe of all TV?) featuring a character written by the actual actor.
It was released in Sept 1986 and we're approaching 40 years since Ian Marter's untimely passing.Ian penned Target Book DW novelizations before this and his writing style seemed more visceral, perhaps best from someone who was "there in the trenches"?
Read the novel prior to our event or listen to the Audiobook (read by Christopher Naylor who voices Harry for Big Finish) or both!
