What we’re about

Hosted by Meditative Instruments | Supported by Music Conservatory of CDA

“A judgement-free musical space for connection, contribution, and community.”

This is a rhythm-forward, community-centered gathering for anyone seeking connection through sound. Whether you’re a seasoned drummer, a curious instrumentalist, a singer, dancer, are attracted to those who value personal & spiritual growth, or someone who simply wants to vibe with groovy humans—this circle is for you.

We meet to co-create a space of belonging, not just musical performance.

🪘 Drums are the heartbeat, but all instruments are welcome.

🧘 Music is the connective tissue, but the fundamental purpose for this group was to build a space for musical expression, for uplifting connection & community, and for personal & spiritual growth.

💞 Contributory model: Those who can donate help sustain the circle; those who can’t are supported by those who can.

🎶 Open to all: Musicians, listeners, dancers, dreamers, singers, sages, gurus, and groovy people who love music & a growth-minded community.

Come as you are. Bring a drum, a shaker, a flute—or just your presence. Let’s build something beautiful, one beat at a time.

P.S. If playing flute, guitar, bass, keys, digiridoo (totally awesome in drum circles), or other instrument requiring amplification over the drums, please be sure to bring your own amp & mic. We're hosted by the Music Conservatory, so we have access to electricity, but need to bring our own gear.

This Meetup Group was created by David Simpson and Clois Hancock, both local CDA residents.

The music circles will be managed by David, a multi-instrumentalist who brings decades of passion & musical experience with drums, percussion, flutes, keys, bass, guitar, and audio engineering.

P.S. A retired veteran, David works as a volunteer for the Music Conservatory of Coeur d' Alene and will be joining their staff in late 2025 as a drum teacher for their Winter Semester, offering private lessons as well as a "small group" sessions (5-10 peeps).

Outreach & networking are managed by Clois, a long-time music enthusiast, self-proclaimed "amateur musician," and owner of Honor Therapeutics, specializing in veteran massage therapy for relaxation and recovery.

We are additionally sponsored by the Music Conservatory of CDA, which has generously made space available for the circle to regularly meet, as well as dedicated rooms for private lessons for those who wish to take their music skills to the next level!
