Pathfinder Society of Northern VA (NoVa) & DC Metro! (DMV)

The story:
During routine study on the Maze of the Open Road, a lecture is interrupted by an old Pathfinder ghoul ally, Marcon Tinol. Through discussions with him, the Society learns that he and Drandle Dreng established an island haven in Azlant for undead referred to as the Island of the Vibrant Dead. Marcon reports that a strange new ghoul has arrived on the island but her story isn't adding up, leading him to fear that she may be up to something. The PCs must travel to the island and and uncover the mystery.

The Game:
Pathfinder 2nd edition is an interactive role-playing game (similar to Dungeons & Dragons). The mechanics are easy to learn, and the rules are available for free! In this one-shot, you can jump in easily as a new player or join if you're an experienced Pathfinder.

The Characters:
This scenario designed for 3rd-6th-level characters. New players can use a premade sheet for one of the iconics (recommended for new people new to the game). If you need a pregen, please let me know ahead of time. Established players should bring a society character in that range.

The story:
When the Starfinder Society is contacted by scientists from Dreamlink Laboratories, who claim to have made an important discovery in the Gelid Edge, Venture-Captain Arvin dispatches a team of agents to investigate. Unfortunately, something has invaded the labs, and time is running short for the survivors...

THE CHARACTERS:
You can use an iconic level 1 pregenerated character or make your own character using Starfinder 2e rules. Please let us know ahead of time if you want to use a pregen character (recommended for new players).
-Some options for character building are Hephaistos, Demiplane, using the new Starfinder Player Core and pen/paper, etc. You can use character options from the Invasion's Edge Player's Guide as well.

THE GAME:
Starfinder 2e is a role-playing game similar to Pathfinder 2e (or Dungeons & Dragons) but in space with magic and technology. In this one-shot, you can jump in as a new player or join if you're more experienced. You don't need to bring anything. That being said, if you have the rulebook, please bring it! We'll be helping each other learn the rules in a relaxed environment.
