Ninotchka is a 1939 American romantic comedy film made by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, produced and directed by Ernst Lubitsch and stars Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas.

In 1990, Ninotchka was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". It has been listed as one of the greatest films of all time by Empire in 2008 and Time in 2011.
