Worried about AI? You can take action! Join us at the launch of PauseAI Reno, a new local action group of PauseAI US! (https://www.pauseai-us.org/)
We will:
- take action to lobby our members of Congress as informed grassroots advocates
- engage in public outreach to educate people about the dangers of the AI race, and gather signatures for petitions demanding decisive action
- organize for state-level legislation protecting against dangerous AI (AI companies have to follow the regulations of all 50 states, so every state holds lots of leverage!)
- potentially, in the future, organize public protests
This kickoff will be a general open-ended social to meet each other, get to know each other's concerns about AI, and discuss actions we can take moving forward, all while having a good time!
