# Woodland Wags — An October Stroll in Grunewald đŸŸ

October is here, and the extra layers are slowly finding their way out of the cupboard. As Berlin eases into autumn and winter edges closer, let’s make time for a Sunday afternoon among Grunewald’s woodland trails—with curious noses leading the way.
Join our weekly Paws & Peace meetup for the usual easygoing mix of walking, dog playtime and conversation. Familiar faces, first-timers and people without pets are all welcome.

## Date and Time

Sunday, 4 October 2026 · 14:00

## Meeting Point

We’ll meet in front of Tennis-Club 1899 e.V. Blau-Weiss, by the Grunewald forest entrance.
Address: Wildpfad 12, 14193 Berlin-Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
📍Meeting Point
Please allow approximately 32 minutes on foot from S-Bahn Grunewald to reach the meeting point, depending on your pace.
Prefer to meet us directly at the dog beach? You’re very welcome to! Stay in touch through WhatsApp so we can coordinate where and when to find each other.

## Dog Play Area

We’ll head into the Hundeauslaufgebiet Grunewald for a woodland stroll and time at the dog beach, giving our four-legged friends a chance to explore and play.

## Optional Hangout Afterwards

If anyone fancies a drink or a bite afterwards, we can decide together where to go. Nothing booked or fixed—let’s see where the afternoon takes us.

## What It’s About

A little fresh air, some company and a chance to get to know fellow pet lovers in Berlin. There’s no special activity planned and no pressure to stay for the whole afternoon—just come along and enjoy spending time together.

## Agenda

  • 14:00–14:30 | Meet and greet: Gather by the tennis club, say hello and give the dogs time to settle.
  • 14:30–15:30 | Woodland walk and dog playtime: Explore the trails and head towards the dog beach.
  • 15:30–17:00 | More conversation and an optional hangout: Keep enjoying the afternoon, with the option of finding somewhere for food or drinks.

These timings are flexible; we’ll take the afternoon at a comfortable pace for the group.

## What to Bring

  • Your pet, if you have one—coming without a pet is welcome too.
  • Water and a bowl for your dog.
  • Snacks for yourself.
  • Waste bags to keep the trails clean.
  • A leash for places where required or whenever your dog needs one.
  • Comfortable walking shoes and an extra layer, with a waterproof jacket if needed.
  • A towel if your dog enjoys the water or finds a particularly tempting muddy patch.

## Additional Notes

  • Friendly pets: Please keep an eye on your pet and give other dogs and people the space they need.
  • Weather: We’ll adjust plans if conditions make the walk unsuitable. Check for updates before setting off.
  • WhatsApp updates: We’ll stay in touch about weather, meeting arrangements and finding the group.
  • Questions or joining along the way? Feel free to message me—especially if you’re heading straight to the dog beach.

## Joining Without a Pet?

You’re part of the gathering too! A few simple guidelines help everyone feel comfortable:

  • Respect Boundaries: Some pets enjoy attention; others prefer a little space.
  • Seek Permission: Ask the owner before touching or playing with their pet.
  • Approach Calmly: Let the animal come to you and avoid sudden movements.
  • No Feeding: Please don’t offer food or treats.
  • Supervised Interaction: Keep interactions under the owner’s guidance, and supervise children around pets.

Bring an extra layer and leave a little room in your Sunday for new company. We’ll bring the conversation; the dogs will find something interesting to sniff. See you in Grunewald!
