Chauncey Peak Trail - Giuffrida Park

Details
(Rescheduled.. again. The rain has been relentless!)
Hey all, back again with another hike!
This hike is called Chauncey Peak Trail (on All Trails) and is located at Giuffrida Park in Meriden. This hike is rated moderate and is 2.3 miles, taking us about two hours to complete. We plan to walk the loop in a counter clockwise direction which starts off with a steep incline with some loose rock until the peak. This trail has a nice view at the peak. The second mile of the hike is fairly flat through the woods along the reservoir.
Please arrive on time at 1pm as we will leave the parking area at 1:15pm. Dogs are welcome to be leashed or off leash at this location. However, please keep in mind of your dogs interactions with other dogs, there will likely be other people along the trail as well. Make sure to bring your leash, regardless of the your dogs ability. My pup will be leashed for a period of the hike until she is familiar with all dogs.
As always, be mindful of your pups, and your own, limits. While this hike is not overly challenging, this is not a flat hike and it does require a small degree of exercise with the inclines. Please make sure to bring water and treats for your pup, and yourself!
WEATHER: the upcoming weeks appear to show rain. I will update the group if we need to reschedule based on the degree of inclement weather.
I look forward to seeing you all and your pups!
