Un’opera visionaria torna a vivere in un podcast in tre puntate, tratto dal testo teatrale di Karel Čapek "Il Male Bianco" (1937). Realizzato con il contributo al cast e alla troupe di allievi/e, ex allievi/e e docenti della Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté, questo progetto ambizioso porta in scena un racconto profetico e attuale, che esplora il rapporto tra scienza, potere e guerra.

Il podcast vanta la regia di Imogen Kusch, che firma anche l’adattamento insieme a Nikolai Palmieri. La produzione è curata da Livia Maria Antonelli, con la supervisione editoriale di Matteo De Sabbata. Sotto la guida di Vins Gallico per Fandango Podcast.

Each month, we gather to discuss a podcast we've listened to, sharing thoughts, opinions, and recommendations for future listens.
This month we present The White Sickness, a reimagining of Karel Čapek’s theatrical text, directed by Imogen Kusch, who also co-authored the adaptation with Nikolai Palmieri.

A visionary work comes back to life as a three-episode podcast inspired by Karel Čapek’s 1937 play The White Sickness. Developed with the involvement of current students, alumni, and faculty of the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinematic Arts—both on stage and behind the scenes—this ambitious project brings to the fore a prophetic and strikingly relevant story, exploring the complex relationship between science, power, and war.

The podcast is directed by Imogen Kusch, who also signs the adaptation together with Nikolai Palmieri. Production is overseen by Livia Maria Antonelli, with editorial supervision by Matteo De Sabbata, under the guidance of Vins Gallico for Fandango Podcast.
Sound design is curated by Giuseppe D’Amato and Jacopo Manzo, in collaboration with the sound students of the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinematic Arts: Pietro Montesi, Mateo Blancas Gherardi, Carola Munari, Davide Lugni, Davide Catanzaro, Luca Martella, Luca Panettieri, Riccardo Franceschilli, and Samuel Migarelli, with the kind contribution of Soundscape Library.

### What's P.A.Z.?

The best way to discover a podcast is through word of mouth, usually traveling through social media. P.A.Z., an acronym for Podcast Ascolti Zurigo, was born to uncover new things to listen to and the chance to discuss them with others in person. Like a book club, but for podcasts.

#### Is there an entry fee?

The event is free (it would be nice to know how many of us are coming, so if you can, RSVP for free here). Everyone is free to order something at the bar at their own expense.

#### Do I need to have listened to the entire podcast?

No, you can come even if you haven't heard the entire podcast (but it's better if you have).

#### Is the podcast to listen to always in Italian?

Yes, currently, P.A.Z. aims to focus on Italian-language podcasts, and anyone who speaks Italian is welcome.

#### I like it but I can't be there, what can I do?
