Hanzala has worked in data analytics and BI for a number of years in industry and since joining KPMG, he has provided consultations on BI strategies and roadmaps, data management (including governance, integration and migration) and data visualisation. He is an avid fan of a number of the core data visualisation tools and sees Power BI as one of the leaders in the market.

Hanzala will provide a live demo on few of the key features of Power BI and how Power BI differentiates itself from other core data visualisation tools on the market.

Matt Hoole - Head of BI at Ombudsman Services

Dan Murray - BI Lead at Ombudsman Services

Ombudsman Services BI have recently completed a strategy to implement a new Data-warehouse and Power BI system into their organisation.

A large part of this strategy has been to capture and use geographic data to enable the use of Power BI custom filled mapping reports. This has allowed the Ombudsman to create insights that had never before been possible.

The use of Power BI has been so successful Matt & Dan were asked to present their work to 40 MPs and have been engaged to work with government departments such as DCMS and BEIS.

Dan and Matt will give an overview of how to build a detailed filled map based report, but also how to get the data and custom maps Power BI needs, and demonstrate how an effectively simple report can have such power.
