About us
PB:Running is an expat running club based in Barcelona city centre. We welcome runners from all walks of life, with a wide range of goals and training paces, and we offer 7 weekly group sessions, training plans, and social activities. We are here to support your goals, whether you are training to complete your first 5K, take on a marathon, or simply make friends whilst getting fitter.
If you want to go for an easy run followed by a coffee that's not what we do, sorry! We give you the training sessions that make a difference. Runners stereotypically don't like strength work so we do small group classes to coach you through the exercises that you should really be doing to become a better runner and lower your risk of injury. What's the other tricky session to do alone? Intervals of course! We provide regular interval classes with so much fun and diversity that it will soon become your favourite session of the week. We regularly have meetups at races, as well as having social events, club races, and training camps.

Strength & Conditioning for Runners (and other sports)
Ciutadella Park, Passeig de Picasso, 21, Barcelona, CT, ESPlease note that due to construction in the park this class has been moved to opposite the parliament entrance, in Ciutadella park. The meetup map has been updated. If in doubt please text Anthony and he can send you the live location.
Anthony will predominantly use suspension training (TRX) for this class.

• What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen the whole body with an emphasis on run specific conditioning. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of an experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals.

• When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening at 7.30pm (Ciutadella), Tuesday evening at 6.30pm (Park Glories), and Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta)
• Who runs it? - The Monday class is lead by Anthony Bailey who has been a fitness trainer for 8 years. Anthony is an avid runner having participated in eight marathons and three ironman triathlons.
• How much is it? - €10 a class however you can buy an unlimited class pass which will give you access to all PB:Running and PB:Training classes for the calendar month for €40.
• Anything else? - Before you attend your very first class with me, you will be required to fill out a par-q which you can complete here.

• What to bring - Yoga/exercise mat, water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and footwear ie trainers and loose fitting or stretchy shorts/leggings and top. Please bring along a sweat towel too if you think you might need it.

We will use resistance bands in these classes. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant.
• What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals.
• Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Glories. We will be located between the big white circle and the grassy area. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top.
• When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening 7.30pm (Park Ciutadella),Tuesday evening at 6.30pm (Park Glories), and Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta).
• Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 28 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. I have been involved in Athletics coaching since I was 17.
• How much is it? - €10 a class however you can buy an unlimited class pass which will give you access to all PB:Running classes for the calendar month for €40.
• Anything else? - Before you attend your very first class with me, you will be required to fill out a par-q which you can complete here.

• What is it? - This class is for all levels from novice to advanced runners, where we will train you to run fast.
• Where is it? - We meet at Parc Glories next to the big white circle.
