It's time for the annual Krewe of Lafitte's Illuminated Mardi Gras parade. This is held downtown the night before the daytime parade, and is a sight to behold. Rain or shine. Pictures from last year are here.
Palafox is under construction this year, so there is a new parade route. Instead of our usual spot in front of O'Riley's, we'll watch from the parking lot at the corner of Government and Jefferson, on the West side of the street, behind Intermission. (I uploaded a map.)
