Bingo Night to benefit Animal Allies of Florida (dinner at 5:15)
Details
This is a twice-monthly fund-raiser for Animal Allies of Florida, a no-kill rescue organization operating spay/neuter and adoption programs for cats and kittens. You can help our furry and pointy-eared friends by participating in this event.
Dinner is at 5:15 p.m. and the first bingo game is at 6:30 p.m. If you can't make it by 5:15, let us know and we will save you a seat.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER DINNER BEFORE 5:15. When you order dinner earlier than that (sometimes as early as 4:45) it creates two problems. First, when other people (often first-timers) arrive at 5:15, they see people already eating dinner and have to watch them while their own order has not yet been taken. Then, when they are served at 5:45, those who ordered dinner earlier have already finished and are now watching them eat. Second, when you order dinner early it means have to wait a longer time for bingo to start. At a recent event I was stuck between two members complaining about having to wait an hour between finishing dinner and the start of bingo (at 6:30). In the past, ordering dinner at 5:15 has been just about right. We need to get back to that.
For $10 (cash only) you get three sets of cards that are good for all 10 rounds. There are cash prizes for bingo and in between rounds there are raffles for door prizes. Dinner is an additional cost (it's Taco Tuesday as well as Ladies' Night -- you can go to the BOB website for details).
You can learn more about Animal Allies at aaflorida.org.
The attached map tells you the address is 1 New Market Street, but it's easier to find if you look for it on Nine Mile Road just east of Pine Forest Road.
