Photography opportunities:

We are very fortunate to have a new sponsor for our group. The digital academy will be offering educational opportunities year-round, and they will supply the heads up information to our members who would like to advance themselves in this field.

June 14 they will be offering a special course that includes models. This first educational event will be for the advance photographers. It will cover a broad aspect in the field of photography.
Advanced Photo Workshop
'Portraits in the Park'

Sunday June 14th 9am - 6pm $150
Join Digital Photo Academy Instructor George Simian for a day of 'Portraits in the Park'. Digital Photo Academy will be providing a few models, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend or family member along to photograph as well.

You will be meeting at Image Mechanics for a brief class room lesson on lighting and portraiture before heading over to Clover Park for an all day long, location shoot. Rolling out over 18 acres, Clover Park is the largest traditional park in Santa Monica.

You will have the opportunity to use professional lighting equipment such as reflectors and diffusion panels to control the light on your subject. Have all of your questions answered by a professional and receive critique and instruction in real time - on location!

You will end the day with a lesson on post capture manipulation and work flow as well as a critique of everyone's best images from the day.
