Power of the Pen: Letter to the Editor Night! is a supportive, low-pressure space to turn your thoughts, cares, and convictions into short, powerful letters that can spark change.
We'll meet at Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery located at 1700 N Killingsworth St., Portland, 9721, on Tuesday, December 2nd from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. No experience needed! Come with curiosity and be guided by prompts and letter-to-the-editor templates!
What We’ll Do
- Start with social time and you can order food and a bevy!
- We'll explore simple frameworks for a strong Letter to the Editor
- Choose a topic you care about — big or local - and draft your letter
- Optional: peer cheerleading and gentle share-outs
- Walk away with a letter you can send to a real publication - various publication contact info provided!
