Generative design, 3D Printed Violins & Lapidary, oh my!

Come join us for a meet and greet with other digi fab makers and a virtual presentation by David Perry, a designer, artist and founder of Open Fab PDX.

David Perry also creates unique pieces in his personal work including 3D printed fiddles using generative design, mixed medium and alternative processes.

We'll have some time dedicated at the beginning and end of the meeting to introduce ourselves and generally nerd out about projects we're working on. Feel free to have a project, a sketch, a 3D model or a prototype to share if you'd like.

Rally - a happy hour style video meetup platform. It's like zoom but more chill. If you need some extra time to get set up, the "room" will be open at 5:30.

NOTE: Does not work on mobile.
Recommended to take call on a computer using Chrome.

Rally Instructions:

  1. Click the link or Copy/Paste this into your browser.

  2. Select Join Room button.

  3. Sign in as a guest or with Facebook/Linkedin or enter your name and select Log in (You can easily just sign in as a Guest, you don't need to enter your facebook info or set up a profile)

  4. Select Request Permissions and follow the steps to allow browser to access to your camera and microphone. Make sure you click "Allow" when asked to use your camera and mic or it'll be tough to go back into settings to change it!

  5. Select Continue after the connection is made and you're in! You'll see an introduction box to read through to understand how to use the app.
    Feel free to click through!

  6. The sound you're hearing are people talking in the background. Click JOIN at other tables and hop around! You can turn the background noise down if you want.

  7. Please mute yourself during the presentation.

Does not work well on mobile. Use a computer with Chrome.
