End of Summer Hike

Join us for an end of summer hike at a favorite hidden gem, Powell Butte. We will meet at 10 under the awning near the bathrooms and visitor's center; we'll do introductions for 20-30 minutes in order to give people time to filter in bc parking can be a bit annoying. So be prepared to wait a few minutes for parking spots to free up. Patience pays off.

Powell Butte has mixed and moderately rugged terrain. We will hike even in the rain as long as it's not a downpour. So come prepared with the proper gear. Elevation gains are minimal to moderate, 200-1000 feet. We will take our time moving through several lf the trails and up to the summit. It can be windy but there are cool views of several Oregon summits. If it is dry, bring a snack and blanket and we'll enjoy the sun for a picnic, or we might have lunch at a restaurant or food truck pod. Don't forget sunblock and water!
