Portland Street Art Walk: Alberta Art District

Details
This walk is the first in a series of walks celebrating street art in PDX.
Portland is coming into its own regarding street art. The shift in attitude comes with a bureaucratic relaxation of strict ordinances against illegal graffiti to accommodate “legal” street artists under the auspices of organizations like the Portland Street Art Alliance and Forest for the Trees.
We will start at the Alberta Street Arts District, think of this like a scavenger hunt Portland Street Art changes so, we will have a starting point and it is up to us to find the hidden treasures. We will make a stop at Great Notion Brewery for a beverage and Matt’s BBQ tacos.
Plan to walk at least 4-5 miles. This is a leisurely stroll and we will make stops a long the way to view the art and take pictures.
Friendly well socialized dogs are welcome but on leash. Great Notion has outdoor seating however it’s up to you to find out if they have a dog friendly patio.
What to bring? Comfortable walking shoes, water and phone or camera for pics. Weather appropriate clothing.
Everyone will start on the waitlist to avoid no shows and ensure an equal number of men to women.
