Backpacking trip in Olympic National Park πποΈποΈ

Details
I was able to snag a mid-week wilderness/backpacking permit for a beautiful and popular mountain lake in Olympic National Park for up to 6 people. Care to join us?
I'm especially looking for a few women or non-binary folks to join me and help round out our group, but I encourage anyone who's interested and available these dates to join the waitlist.
Here are the high-level details:
- Early Monday we'll drive 5.5 hours from Portland to the trailhead. (Or if anyone prefers, you could stay the night closer to the trailhead and meet us there Monday.)
- We'll hike about 4 miles mostly downhill to the lake and set up camp on day 1/Monday.
- On day 2, folks can do whatever they like - do day hikes around the area, relax at camp, swim or fish in the lake, etc. Then on day 3/Wednesday, we'll hike about 4 miles mostly uphill back to the trailhead and drive back to Portland.
- The entire hike is about 8 miles with 1,500 feet of elevation change.
- Olympic NP and Kristina rules: No dogs/pets, no guns, all food/garbage must be stored in approved bear containers, use the rustic pit/vault/composting toilet near camp or dig a 6-8 inch cat hole, no more than 6 people in our group, and follow Leave No Trace principles.
To be on the safe side, I'm not publicly naming the hike or lake we'll be camping at, but I'll share that with folks who are considering going. (The pic above is of a similar lake in Olympic NP.)
If you're available August 4-6 and the above sounds fun and doable for you, please join the waitlist. I'll reach out if there's a spot for you on this trip, and I'll keep you in mind for possible future trips. Preference will go to people who've been to events with this group before or that I know, and to people who will help balance the gender ratio.
Have any questions? Feel free to message me/Kristina.
