Veteran’s Day Dog Friendly Hike

Hike to the highest point in Multnomah County! Join us on a fast paced dog friendly hike. We will hike this trail. Please read the hike description to make sure it works for you.

**Note** This is Larch Mountain, Oregon NOT Washington.

Hike details:
* 6.3 miles
* 1,310 feet elevation gain
* Pace: 2- 2.5 miles per hour. We will be moving quickly as my 3 year old puppy will be guiding us.
* This is not a beginner friendly hike.
* This hike is not 420 friendly.

Please bring the 10 essentials, proper foot ware and lunch. There are picnic tables and bathrooms at the top. We will stop there for lunch after our hike. It looks like we’ll have a clear day with good views from Sherrod Point if you would like to walk up that little spur trail. This is a great part of forest around an extinct volcano. It’s one of the last times this year we will be able to access this spot as the gate will be closed by December because the road is not maintained for snow removal.
