Trivia @ White Owl (join the waitlist)
Details
I had to miss the last two trivia nights I posted, but I reeeally want to play with y'all so here's another trivia event that I will do my damndest to make it to.
So yeah... Join us and get to know some fellow single folks through your random knowledge of movies, history, food, science, sports, books, and music!
What to expect at trivia:
- This is Untapped Trivia, which is on paper, easier and more fun than other trivia formats I've tried, and typically has some cool rounds with pictures and audio.
- We'll be on the patio, which is mostly covered and has heaters in the winter and fans in the summer. I'd suggest wearing/bringing layers. (Look for the tables with boujee candles on them.)
- We'll meet at 6:15 so we can chat, get some drinks and/or food, and snag some good tables.
- The picnic table you sit at will become your trivia team. Teams can be up to 7 people.
- Trivia starts promptly at 7 pm (but do please show up at 6:15 if you can to help me save the tables) and goes until about 9.
- This Meetup group is not hardcore about trivia. We're focused on having fun and getting to know folks on our team... not winning. Don't worry about getting an answer wrong or not knowing any answers.
What to expect now on Meetup:
- The first 25 people to RSVP will go straight to the 'going' list, and after that everyone will go on a waitlist. I'll move some people over from the waitlist, with a priority going to people who will help balance the gender ratio, haven't no-showed before, are fun/friendly regulars, etc. (Paying for the Meetup+ thing doesn't actually do anything to prioritize you on waitlists, FYI.)
Housekeeping:
- As always, let's make sure to be respectful to everyone and support the venue (please plan to order a few food/drink items).
- Please keep your RSVP up to date and check in with Kristina or cross your name off the sign-in sheet when you arrive so you don't get marked as a no-show. We regularly remove people with 2+ no-shows from the group.
- Make sure to follow the Community Rules in this group's About section. These include no harassing or aggressive behavior, no touching anyone at an event without explicit verbal consent, and only showing up to events you're on the 'going' list for. If anyone violates these rules or makes you feel uncomfortable, please let the event host (like Kristina) know or reach out to another group organizer (like Max, Brenda, Kevin, Cory, Rachel, Cat or Erin).
Any questions? Let me know in the comments or send me a message.
**P.S. If anyone (who's been to a few of our events recently) would be interested in hosting an event in the PDX Single 30 & 40 Somethings group, please reach out to me/Kristina. I'm at maximum capacity for hosting, but I'd love to support more organizers posting more events :-)
