Singles 2000s Dance at Lola’s Room! 🪩💖✨

Calling all former TRL watchers, burned-CD makers, flip-phone texters, MySpace profile-song curators, and anyone who still has strong feelings about low-rise jeans.

Come dance to all your favorite 2000s music videos and relive the era of iPod Minis, AIM away messages, frosted tips, chunky highlights, going-out tops, and songs we absolutely still know every word to whether we admit it or not.

The official event starts at 9:30pm, but our Meetup group will gather at 8:00pm at Ringler’s Pub downstairs so people can say hi, find the group, and settle in before the dancing starts. I’ll bring glow sticks again so we’re easy to spot and so people have a clear home base if they want to take breaks, chat, or find the group throughout the night.

Expect music from OutKast, Beyoncé, Nelly, Lil Jon, Lady Gaga, The Killers, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Usher, Rihanna, and more.

Come ready for throwback hits, questionable dance moves, nostalgia, and a fun night out with other singles.

No dance experience needed. Dance all night, hang out and socialize, take breaks at the table, or just come enjoy the music and the people. The goal is a fun, low-pressure night out with good vibes and maybe a few deeply questionable memories unlocked.

• Time to socialize before and during the event
• Dancing, nostalgia, and good vibes
• Bonus points if you still remember the “Yeah!” dance break, your old AIM screen name, or where you were when “Mr. Brightside” first entered your bloodstream

• This event is 21+
• Doors are listed for 9:30pm, but we will meet ahead of time at 8:00pm
• Please find the link in the comments section if you want to buy your ticket online ahead of time. Tickets are generally also available for cash at the door, but may be subject to room capacity
• Ringler’s Pub is downstairs. Lola’s Room is upstairs. Both are located in the Crystal Ballroom building at 1332 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97209
