Beginner Quad Roller Skating class series
Details
Did anyone else go roller skating once as an adult and have such a fun but humbling experience that you vowed you would really learn how one day? Or did anyone else think it would be kinda easy like inline rollerblading, or something that would just come back to you like riding a bike? Yeah, me either ;-) I just want to learn how to roller skate... for science.
So... care to join me for a totally beginner-friendly quad roller skating class at PCC? It's a once-a-week community ed class that will run for about a month and a half, so we'll get to see familiar faces from week to week.
Some important details and links:
- The class we're signing up for is every Saturday from September 26 through November 14. (Don't sign up for the weekday class if you want to hang with us.)
- It's a small class with 10 total spots (8 left as of now), so don't wait to register if you want in.

- You'll need to bring your own roller skates to class. You can shop for skates in town at places like Oaks Park Roller Rink and Five Stride Skate Shop, and you can find them online too. I was able to find a decent pair for $65. Protective gear is also recommended.
And here's the blurb for the class: "Learn the basic foundations of roller skating. Posture, safe falling, forward and backwards strides and glides, and basic skate maintenance. Must have your own skates - protective gear recommended (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards) but not required."
