Charge your Razr, update your AIM away message, put your Top 8 in order, and grab the going-out top you definitely wore with jeans and heels. We’re heading back to Lola’s Room for a full night of 2000s music, dancing, and questionable decisions about how low-rise our pants really needed to be. 😂
If your musical education included Beyoncé, OutKast, Nelly, Usher, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, The Killers, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, and Lil Jon, you’re going to know exactly what to do when these songs come on. 🎶
We’ll meet downstairs in Ringler’s for an hour before the dancing starts so everyone has time to grab a drink, mingle, and actually meet some people while we can still hear each other talk. I’ll post our exact location in Ringler’s in the Meetup comments once we’re there, so check the event page when you arrive.
✨ Look for the glow-stick bracelets! I’ll have our usual glow bracelets to help identify our group. Come find us, grab one, and wear it onto the dance floor so we can still spot our people once everyone scatters.
Coming alone? Lots of people do! These events are specifically meant to make it easier to walk into a room where you don’t know anyone and leave knowing considerably more people than you did when you arrived. Come socialize, dance, make friends, flirt a little if the universe cooperates, and enjoy a night out with people who also remember when downloading one song could take 45 minutes. 😂
