Care to get a little dirty and restore habitat with like-minded folks? Let’s get together for one of Portland's 23nd annual No Ivy Day events at Leach Botanical Garden and help improve wildlife habitat and water quality together.

What to expect

  • We'll be removing invasive English ivy to make room for native plants.
  • Tools, training and gloves will be provided, and you don’t need any prior experience or certain level of strength or anything.
  • This event will happen rain or shine.
  • We'll be volunteering from 9-12, and let's meet at 8:45 so we can all say hi to each other before the volunteer event starts.
  • The volunteers will be a mix of people from our Meetup group and the general public.
  • After volunteering, some of us from the group may go out to lunch afterwards. (This is totally optional.)

RSVP + register
For this volunteer event, you'll need to register at https://volunteer.portland.gov/need/detail/?need_id=1318838 (and create a volunteer account for portland.gov, unless you already have one). Or if you're not comfortable creating a login to register, email monica.walker@portlandoregon.gov and they'll get you registered.
