Stoic Philosophy Workshop: When Doing Right Gets Complicated
Details
Doing the right thing is easy, until your boss wants loyalty, your friend wants honesty, your family wants peace, and your conscience schedules everything for the same afternoon. Suddenly, virtue has a calendar conflict.
At this interactive PDX Stoa workshop, we’ll explore the Discipline of Action. Given reality as it is, what should I DO?
Through challenging small-group scenarios and playful exercises, we’ll argue, choose, negotiate, and test our judgment where no answer is obvious. No previous knowledge of Stoic Philosophy is required.
Come meet some interesting people and discover whether doing the right thing remains quite so easy, once you actually have to do it.
