PDX Weird Events

Come out and experience interactive arts and entertainment events with other excentrics. We are the weirdos attending the crazy cool stuff happening in Portland

Tips:
1. Bring another weirdo - Sharing is caring, and share experiences create the best memories
2. Talk to Strangers - they have the best candy
3. Go All In - Get in Theme, research the event, come with passion like this is the best thing ever and you ahve been waiting your whole life to go
4. Put your Phone Away - Spend a few hours in the moment
5. Dress the F#$%@ up - It adds to your experience and everyone around you

What does go all in mean?
Concert for a small band - go as a super fan dress up, home print a t-shirt of the band, learn the lyrics to a song to sing along.

Fashion event - Bring a Polariod and give away picks of people printed in real time

Open Mic - Coordinate with 3 friends, All memorize the piece, perform it is very different ways (pop song, dramatic reading, rap with live beat box) and act like you all planed it separately

This group has 3 types of events:

Recommended (No Host) - These are events that look awesome, but do not have a specific host from PDX Weird, this is a way to share cool stuff and tell others you are going and are open to meeting up and coordinating leveling the event up

Hosted Public - We attend other peoples event as a group and level them up by adding passion to the attendees, the event will have recommendations on how we can get in character or ad to the event. There will also be a host that greats and helps introduce people to each other.

Private events - PDX Weird creates and hosts themed private events that are invite only. These will be posted with limited access.

This is a new group and the description is aspirational, we get out what we put in, lets make this awesome.
