Peace Action President Kevin Martin to Speak on “Working for Peace After the Ele

On January 20, like it or not, we will see a peaceful transfer of power – to what could very well be a highly chaotic assumption of power. From the national Peace Action office on down to affiliates such as Peace Action of San Mateo County, our organization is thus challenged to make its voice heard and keep its vital issues in front of those both legislating and implementing (or is that forcing upon us?) policy.
For our December meeting, we will look for ways to “undespair” – and then empower – our members and friends in particular, and “we the people” as a whole.
Join us on Monday the 16th on the Zoom platform as we welcome national Peace Action President Kevin Martin. His subject will be “Working for Peace After the Elections”.
Kevin will talk to us about the urgent and timely work on Gaza, and the continued widespread grassroots organizing going on across the country. He will expound on the larger peace and disarmament agenda…and he will also focus on the concept of building “Blue Oases”, or resilient communities meant to protect the most vulnerable among us who will face MAGA attacks.
At Peace Action, we’re about remedies and solutions. On December 16, we will get some new input from our organization’s top end. See you then!
