Walk for Peace

Peace Builders of Orange County is pleased to join Whittier First Friends Church for a community Peace Walk on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

This event is an opportunity to focus on inner calm, compassion, and nonviolence. It is not a protest, but a visual expression of goodwill and peace for our community and around the world.

Event Schedule

• 3:00 p.m. Poster-making with peace-focused messages
• 3:30 p.m. Gathering at the meetinghouse peace pole for a brief talk about peace, walk instructions, and sing together.
• 4:00 p.m. Silent Peace Walk from the meetinghouse to the City Hall peace pole.
• We will progress up Philadelphia to Painter Avenue, and continue on Painter to City Hall, gathering at the peace pole located there. At the city hall peace pole we will hold a time of silence and then conclude with a song. Participants will then be invited to process back to the meetinghouse along Painter together.

Please note: Water and safety monitors will be provided. The walk is 1 mile.
