What we’re about
Peaceful Hikes and More is a free social group for people 18 years old and up who enjoy being outdoors. We invite all skill levels to walk, hike, and backpack with us leaving the world’s day-to-day stresses behind and have fun in nature! Our pace will allow time for catching your breath after inclines, chatting, snacks, and photo-ops at scenic spots. We always hike together, never leaving anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who forge ahead of the group. By joining you agree to, and promise to adhere to the following:
1- You (and your guest) must be 18 years of age or older;
2- You must post and maintain a clear, recognizable facial photo of just yourself at all times;
3- No dogs, or animals of any kind, on any event;
4- RSVP/CANCELLATION POLICY:
----Two unexcused “No-Shows” will result in removal from the group;
----Cancelling an RSVP after the RSVP closes is also a “No-Show";
----Habitual cancellers and/or cancelling 48 hours and under may result in being moved to end of future Wait-List(s) or removed from the group;
----If you have recently acquired a No-Show status you may be placed at the end of the Wait-List(s) for the next event(s) you sign up for.

5- You are responsible for: reading the entire event description,
including park regulations, your own directions/transportation, being
prepared, knowing your physical abilities and showing up on time for
the event;
6- Always be respectful of your fellow hikers and please leave heated topics of
debate at home and enjoy nature;
7- Zero tolerance for Harassment or using the group for soliciting are
grounds for immediate removal from the group without notice;
8- No smoking during events;
9- Never show up for an event or bring a guest if you/they are not on the
Going List;
10- We reserve the right to remove any member from the group at our
sole discretion, without notice;
11- If you leave the group or are removed from the group, for any reason,
you will not be permitted to attend an event as a guest;
12- DISCLAIMER/LIABILITY WAIVER
Understand that we are not a professionally guided group, nor are we providing a service, these are social events. You are responsible for your own (and your guest’s) preparedness and well-being. You are responsible to research the event, know the area, know your abilities and bring the proper gear, including but not limited to maps/safety gear/clothing/hydration.
You agree not to hold the Organizer, Co-Organizer, Assistant Organizers, Event Organizers or any other member responsible for any injury, illness, mishap or any other situation that may happen at an event and you assume all risks involved in participating in an event. Your joining & attendance signifies that you have read and accepted the terms of this liability waiver.
