The monthly club meeting is a free event for anyone who shares a passion for photography, from the total beginner with your phone to a professional with multiple gear sets.

Join us for an immersive presentation by Robin Davis on “Creating Emotion in Our Photography. As photographers, we know what we experienced when we took a photo, and what was meaningful to us, but how does that translate to our viewing audience?

Visual Language speaks instantly to the Heart’s Mind, faster and clearer than words, and by understanding what is really in our images, our photography can expand and grow. As our awareness deepens, we begin to see extra and often unexpected elements all around us that we can incorporate creatively to make our photographs more interesting to our viewers.

Come and stretch your creativity in this fun, relaxing workshop! We will start the day at Peachtree Corners City Hall and will be given themed categories to shoot (e.g., colors, numbers, textures, shapes, common objects, etc.). We will divide up into teams and go out into the community to shoot creative images that fit these categories. We will spend two hours shooting plus lunch (on your own).

We will gather back at City Hall to download our photos, choose the best ones, give them a
clever title, and share them with each other.

What to Bring:

• Your DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone.
• Your favorite lenses for creative shooting.
• A laptop.
• A thumb drive.
• A card reader for your SD or CF card, or cord to transfer photos from your phone to your laptop.
