Rethinking Aged Care through Technology (during Vic Digital Innovation Festival)

Details

Our meetups are all about passionate people in passionate organisations doing real work on the front-line of health and care. From the startup founders to the medical professionals or global suppliers, we are proud to be able to share their stories.

Australian Healthcare services are now over 10% of Australia's GDP (or A$170bn). Nearly 25% of the Australian population are also now over 65.
Personally Directed Care and NDIS expenditure are also expected to be larger than Medicare within the next few years. So our challenge is simply, how will quality care be delivered and supported on a national scale? What role will technology play in making this happen?

With an introduction from RMIT and innovAGEING, Australia's national aged care Innovation network. Our three presenters for this meetup include:

""Designing for Care, What's right and wrong with the current "human" technology and how you can fix it""
Matiu Bush, Founder of One Good Street, Design Integration Lead at Bolton Clarke and Board Member Better Care Victoria.

""The Sleeptite Story" Second Generation Forty Winks owner/shareholder, Cameron van den Dungen, on Biometrics, Technology, Care and closing the gap between Idea, Execution and Clinical Validation
