Hike to Haiyaha and the Loch lakes in RMNP

This is considered a moderately challenging hike
Distance- 8.5 miles
Elevation gain- about 1700 ft.

Please only register if you plan to attend. Entry reservations are required and I have a pass for 1 car only, so only 5 spots available. If your plans change, please update your registration.
Emerald, Haiyaha and the Loch lakes are surrounded by impressive peaks, sculpted by glaciers. By now, ice should be melting, revealing beautiful blue color on Lake Haiyaha. At the time of posting, there still is snow and ice, but snowshoes are no longer needed, just microspikes and poles. Will start with Emerald Lake trail to Emerald lake and then head to Lake Haiyaha. From there, we will take Lake Haiyaha trail towards the Loch.

We'll meet at the free Visitor Center parking garage at 6:20 am and will only take 1 car. We need to leave by 6:30 AM as the entree is timed. We will not be able to wait for those who are late. Also, repeated no-shows will result in removal from this group.

Bring microspikes and poles, wear waterproof boots and layers as weather can change quickly. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Watch comments for weather updates as we get closer to the event.
