Skywalker Couloir

Date change necessary due to conditions. June 26th or 30th is a possibility. I will keep this updated.

Skywalker couloir is a 1900 vert foot couloir oriented SW on South Arapaho Peak. The slope angle is about 40 -45* with a 60* top section.
We will take the Princess Leia line to exit, but stay on climbers' left for the majority of the climb. If snow quality dictates, we may need to take the lesser angled "escape" hatch.

Meet at the 4th of July TH/ Buckingham campground at 0400AM. We will start asap, hopefully by 415am.
A short ice tool in addition to your glacier ax is recommended for the steep section. Crampons, a helmet, and mountaineering boots are required.

Descend the normal S. Araphaho ridge or ski/board down the couloir itself if you are inclined.

We will watch the weather for any issues, but the early start is necessary since bailing out once on the couloir is not really an option.
