Hoosier Ridge (13,352')
Details
Views Views Views! The picture shows Hoosier Ridge from neighboring Mt. Silverheels, with 14er Quandry behind. While the summit of Hoosier Ridge isn't all that impressive to look at, the surrounding Front Range and Ten Mile Range peaks are stunning in the snow (or no snow). With a 3000' elevation gain total (bumps bumps bumps), and 9.25 miles round trip, this hike will require some endurance. It also tends to be windy so you may need a bit of Grit. Be willing and able to get yourself back to the trailhead if you decide not to continue with the group, at any point. This is a low (not zero) risk hike with relatively straight forward navigation.
