Aikido is a Japanese martial art that focuses on ethical conflict resolution. By blending with an attacker's energy (physical or otherwise) and leading it towards de-escalation, one can remain safe. Training is cooperative and joyous for those 18 years and older and respects the physical ablilities of all students.
In the words of the Founder Morihei Ueshiba:
"You are here to realize your inner divinity and manifest your innate enlightenment. Foster peace in your own life and then apply the Art to all that you encounter.”
Classes will be taught by Frank King Sensei 4thDan
King Sensei began studying Aikido with Frank Doran Shihan and others at Aikido West in Redwood City, CA. He moved to Salt Lake City and helped found Aikido Mountain West. He moved to Idaho recently and hopes to share the lessons of Aikido with the community.
