But how to expose multiple sources of truth across a host of different interfaces whilst maintaining performance and security? Find out how a Digital Integration Hub can be the answer!

Dan is a Senior Integration Specialist for Deloitte as well as a Microsoft Azure MVP, a Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Azure Developer (MCPD), and a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) in BizTalk Server 2010.

He’s also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and a published Pluralsight author. An international speaker, Dan is frequently invited to present at global events such as INTEGRATE (London & USA) and PolarConf (Finland), as well as many Australian events such as Microsoft Ignite Australia (Sydney), API Days (Melbourne), and the Global Azure Bootcamp.

He founded the Brisbane BizTalk User Group in 2005 and is co-organiser of the Brisbane Azure User Group. Dan has authored two courses for Pluralsight and is an active blogger http://www.mindovermessaging.co.

Title: Graph QL - Ask what you need and nothing more!

Over the past decade, REST has become the standard for designing web APIs. It offers some great ideas, such as stateless servers and structured access to resources. However, REST APIs have shown to be too inflexible to keep up with the clients' rapidly changing requirements that access them. GraphQL was developed to cope with the need for more flexibility and efficiency! It solves many of the shortcomings and inefficiencies that developers experience when interacting with REST APIs.

GraphQL lets you ask for what you want in a single query and reducing waterfall requests. Today, let's do a 21 mins GraphQL crash course and demo using the AWS framework.

Currently, Karthik is the Integration Lead at QUT for an AscenderPay (HR & Payroll System) on-premises to Cloud Upgrade Program.
