What we’re about

Patients have a right and responsibility to participate, to their level of ability and preference, as a partner in making healthcare decisions that affect their lives. This requires access to accurate, relevant and comprehensive information that enable patients to make informed decisions about healthcare treatment and living with their condition. For a common man, this is possible only through Peer Support. Peer support occurs when people provide knowledge, experience, emotional, social or practical help to each other. A peer is in a position to offer support by virtue of relevant experience. S/he has "been there, done that" and can relate to others who are now in a similar situation. The Seekers are people with High Blood Pressure who believe that High Blood Pressure is a Public Health Problem and seeks peer support and ways and means to address the issue at personal, community and public health levels.
