What we’re about
There are other wonderful bicycle groups in South East Florida.
This group is further South and West of the other groups and I created this for people who don't want to first take a longer drive to get to the starting point.
The rides will usually be around 2 hours long. 10 to 12 mph and we won't leave anyone behind.
We ride in the Everglades, Markham Park, Tree Top Park, Vista View Park, The Broadwalk in Hollywood.
We don't wear the serious looking uniforms or take this too seriously.
If we are going away from civilization such as in the everglades, it would be best to have an extra inner tube and a way to change your tire.
I'd prefer if you wear a helmet, but I won't enforce it. Ride at your own risk.
After rides we hope you stick around to go out for a meal with us.
I use an e-bike, but I keep it on very low pedal assist to get exercise.
I split the $200 a year meetup fee with a friend. I try to collect $100 over the year in donations so feel free to give me a buck or two at an event. If you are assisting, setting up a ride , or volunteering, then that is enough payment.
