Welcome to the Pen And Paper Newbie Writing Circle. If you have always wanted to put your ideas down on paper but felt intimidated by the blank page, this is the place for you. We are a relaxed group of people who are just starting our creative writing journeys, and we believe that the best way to get better is to simply show up and write together without any pressure or judgment.
Our meetings are very low-key and focused on community rather than critique. We usually spend a little bit of time chatting about our goals, followed by some guided prompts to get the pens moving. Whether you are interested in fiction, personal essays, or just playing around with words, you are welcome here. We provide a safe, quiet space to develop your voice at your own pace, so please join us if you are looking for some encouragement and a bit of accountability.
