About us

Welcome to the Pencil Pals Beginner Friendly Sketching Club. This group is for anyone who has ever wanted to pick up a sketchbook but felt intimidated by the blank page. We believe that sketching is a skill anyone can learn with a bit of patience and practice, and our goal is to create a low-pressure environment where we can learn the basics together. Whether you have never held a pencil for art before or are just looking for a regular reason to get creative, you will fit right in here.

We meet to share tips, work on simple exercises, and just enjoy the process of drawing without worrying about making masterpieces. There is no judgment here, only a group of people interested in developing a new hobby and supporting one another along the way. Bring whatever supplies you have on hand—a standard pencil and a scrap of paper are more than enough to get started—and come hang out with us for a few hours of quiet, focused sketching. We look forward to meeting you.
