About us
Welcome to Pencils and Pints. We are a casual, weekly meetup for anyone who enjoys sketching and wants to get out of the house to draw in good company. Whether you are a professional artist, a hobbyist, or someone who just likes to doodle in the margins of a notebook, you are more than welcome here. There is no formal instruction or pressure to produce a masterpiece; the goal is simply to dedicate a few hours to our craft while enjoying a drink and meeting fellow local artists.
We meet every week at a rotating selection of quiet, sketchbook-friendly pubs and cafes around the city. We usually spend the first few minutes settling in, then dive into our sketchbooks for a couple of hours of relaxed drawing and conversation. It is a great way to stay consistent with your practice and connect with others who share an interest in art. Just bring whatever supplies you are comfortable using, pull up a chair, and join us for a sketch.
