Free Final Friday Open House at Pendleton Art Center

There are too many studios to see all of them in one evening, but most try. They take the elevator to the 8th floor and try by walking their way down. By the 6th floor a third of them have seen enough and left. By the 5th floor another third have.

Instead, if you took the elevator to the 4th floor, early in the evening you'll be the only one in some of the studios as you worked your way down.

The Pendleton Art Center has more independent artists under one roof than any other place in the world, according to Guinness. On the last Friday of each month (except December) they have this open house.

Valet parking is $10. Down 13th St are lots that are $7 unless a big event is in town. Be advised that the Valet parking ends at 9 PM and you must at least retrieve your keys by then if you are going to walk someplace, perhaps for a drink, after the art show ends. The $7 lots are good till the wee hours.

Free parking is in the casino if you don't mind walking through the casino and then the extra blocks.

BTW, if you want to wait for the elevator, rather than walk down the stairs, stand close to its windows and the operator will see you and stop the next time he/she passes.
