RSVP, Cash Payment & Release Form Required.
All equipment is provided for the rappelling lesson. Wear belted jeans/pants. Dress in layers tucking in shirts. Have water & snacks.
Tasks:
1. Release Form, Payment, Safety Briefing, Equipment Inspection and Science Topic. Knot tying, belay command demo. & Class Intro.
2. Steep Trail Hike- Pole Steeple Trail is blue-blazed trail in Michaux State Forest, Pennsylvania, that leads to a quartzite rock outcropping with panoramic views of Pine Grove Furnace State Park and Laurel Lake. While the main trail is short (about 0.75 miles one way) it's challenging!
3. Site Set Up, Swiss Seat Class, and Safety Demo.
4. Scouts will rappel after Swiss Seat inspection is rated- GO
5. Rappelling until 11:45. Prepare equipment for hiking down and Hike
6. Return ALL Equipment & ENDEX
