What we’re about
Join a warm, welcoming community drum circle by the fire at the Okanagan Beach fire pits. We meet Wednesdays, 5:30–7:30 PM (weather permitting) to enjoy simple grooves, call-and-response, and free-flow rhythms.
All skill levels welcome—truly.
Never drummed before? Perfect. Seasoned player? Fantastic. Bring a drum or any rhythm maker (djembe, bongos, cajón, shakers, tambourine, claves—even a bucket). Listeners and hand-clappers are part of the music too.
What to bring:
Your drum and a portable chair as bench space is limited
Optional: small percussion to share, firewood, water, and layers for the evening breeze.
What to expect:
- Easy, inclusive rhythms—no instruction required
- Space for beginners, space for solos, and lots of listening
- Family-friendly, respectful vibe
- Free community gathering
Community guidelines:
- Be kind, listen and leave space for others.
- Keep it acoustic.
- Pack out what you pack in; we’ll leave the beach cleaner than we found it.
We’ll post updates on the event page if the weather looks doubtful.
RSVP, arrive a few minutes early, say hello, and add your heartbeat to the circle. See you by the fire!
