Speaker details:

You're already asking Bayesian questions
Speaker: Andrew Marritt
Most of the questions People Analytics are actually asked - "what's the chance this training pays off?", "can we afford to coach the top 30, and which thirty?" - are Bayesian questions, whether they're called that or not. Most of us, however, were trained on tools built to answer something else. Classical statistics has no easy way of dealing with the two things HR analyses encounter every day: small samples (small teams, one site, one cohort) and the expert judgement sitting in every experienced manager's head. Bayesian thinking enables you to take advantage of both, and turns "how likely?" and "is it worth it?" into questions you can actually answer, in plain probability. Andrew Marritt built an applied People Analytics practice using techniques like this for 14 years, and has just published a free book showing how to do it. This talk is the short version with real life examples - no stats background required.

Building People Analytics for business outcomes: a product management approach
Speaker: John Huertas
In People Analytics, focusing on business results/outcomes rather than output delivery can make the difference between an initiative that dies as a "pet project" and a value-adding capability that sticks. In this presentation, John will show how product management practices can help teams translate a business challenge into measurable outcomes before deciding what to build, how explicit product principles can settle hard trade-offs along the way, and why "insight journeys" beat dashboards. John Huertas has built workforce planning solutions as a consultant, at a software vendor, and inside a global organization, where he took a new SWP & analytics solution from idea to launch in four months. He's co-founder of System Impact and holds an MPhil in System Dynamics.

The People Analytics capabilities to leverage AI for efficiency and delivery
Speaker: Adam Tombor
Everyone is talking about AI. Few are talking about the capabilities needed to make it work. Adam Tombor examines why successful AI-powered workforce insights are built on a foundation of integrated data architectures, secure and scalable analytics platforms, and analytical skills, proving that AI is only as effective as the People Analytics function behind it.
