Join us for a Shirley Hills Woodland Walk - HIKE – SUNDAY 3RD MARCH 2024

Part of a series of three hikes celebrating Croydon Borough of Culture. Join our Nature Guides as they lead you through open countryside and stunning natural habitats; This is Croydon.

Come and join us on our Coombe Lane Circular walk. This stunning hike includes a breath-taking viewpoint at Addington Hills, London's largest area of heathland covered in heather and gorse.

We'll be passing through ancient woodland with Oaks, Ash and Birch and listening for green woodpeckers. Selsdon woods nature reserve is an additional highlight with both woodland and open fields, altogether a refreshing countryside hike!

A good level of fitness is needed to join this walk. The total walk will take approximately 4.5 hours plus a 30 minute break for lunch. This route includes some steep inclines, it is not suitable for someone with mobility issues. We recommend bringing 1ltr of water and a packed lunch with you.
