Wild in the City Festival, June 2024

Details
Join your community of nature lovers for the second edition of our festival on Saturday 15th -Sunday 16th June.
Enjoy a night of woodland camping or come for the day, we will celebrate people of colour in nature and step closer to decolonising the environmental field, through a programme bringing together a nature loving community of people of colour, for talks, hikes, fireside conversation, natural history, bushcraft, archaeology, geography, food growing, art, yoga, meditation and much more.
Our home for the festival is a secluded woodland, full of birdsong and a tranquil lake and stream. Nestled in the Addington Hills area of Croydon, London’s largest area of heathland and a beautiful natural setting on the doorstep of open countryside. Easily accessible from East Croydon station.

Conference for Black and POC led organisations
A collective of Black and POC led nature/outdoor organisations will co-host a conference, to discuss the politics of leading whilst Black in the sector, why our work matters, the challenges and opportunities.
