THE PEOPLE OF LISBON SNAP ELECTION!

Hello People Of Lisbon, we're calling a snap election!

Nobody asked for one, nobody knows why, and there are absolutely no positions of power up for grabs. But we do think it's a very good excuse to get everyone together for a few drinks.

On Thursday, October 29th, we're taking over Absent for a good old-fashioned People Of Lisbon free for all gathering. It's been a while since we had one.

For those who don't know us, People Of Lisbon started as a simple idea: tell the stories of the fascinating people who make this city what it is. Six years and more than 225 films later, we've become something much bigger. We make documentaries, take beautiful portraits, publish stories, produce podcasts, organise gatherings and run a growing community called Club People Of Lisbon. (Join the club... www.peopleoflisbon.com )

Whether you've appeared in one of our films, you're a member of our club, you've been following our adventures for years, you've just arrived in Lisbon or you've never heard of us before, you're invited.

Come alone, bring a friend, bring five friends. All nationalities, ages, backgrounds and political persuasions welcome.

Our election manifesto is simple: more friendships, more community, more interesting conversations and more reasons to love Lisbon.
