European Portuguese - English Language Exchange

Native European Portuguese speaker or a learner and aspiring polyglot? The aim of this group is two fold: improve your practical language skills and hopefully, make lasting friendships.

This meet up is to offer an informal, comfortable space for aspiring English and Portuguese speakers between ages 35 and 40 to learn, exchange, connect, and share—at their own pace.

This meetup isn’t about structured activities or forced networking. It’s about being yourself, having real conversations, and hopefully finding a language partner and creating lasting friendships ✨

What to Expect:

• A relaxed, judgment-free environment
• Space to talk, listen, and connect naturally
• A non-pressured, encouraging and supportive environment to practice your language skills and push yourself

Background
I’ve been learning (European) Portuguese for several years and have had varying levels of success finding people to practice regularly with. They say the key to sustained progress and improvement is frequency and immersion, so bringing your learner language into your day to day is key. I’m creating this group in the hopes it can help me, and others, while offering a space to meet new people and hopefully make lasting friendships with other people that may share similar interests. Each language exchange meet up with be over low/no cost activity. This could be something like a walk, a chat in a cafe over a hot - or cold - drink of choice, or if the weather is nice, over a picnic.
