People Helping People is exactly that. Our group comes from all stories and backgrounds, and comes together for activities that give back. Whether this means putting together care holiday packages for our houseless community, offering a tip and compliment to the service worker who has been slammed all morning, or building a community for lonely humans craving connection - People Helping People is founded in discernment, empathy, and action.

Come join us on Saturday, October 24 @ 1pm-3pm as we put together care packages for our houseless community. Our goal is to create 100 baggies filled with toothbrushes, sanitary products, snacks, water, candy for the Halloween season - and more!

We will have already:

100 baggies
100 hair tie bundles
100 sanitary product bundles
100 toothbrush+paste bundles
100 water bottles
Printed local resources
An assortment of snacks and candy

Please feel free to bring:

Pre-packaged snacks (we want to avoid any loose foods)
Floss
Special notes
Hand warmers
Wipes
Hand sanitizer
Anything!

Seattle/King County area has the third-largest homeless population in the United States, behind only New York City and Los Angeles. There are so many homeless youth and young adults in Seattle and our hope is to bring connection through care packages, rather than a transactional give-away and pat on the back. Everyone at the event will be able to take the cafe packages with them!

We hope to create a space for people wanting to help people, especially as the holidays and rainy season comes in. Thank you for joining us!
